Trees have so many advantages to our environment it would be difficult to list them all but here are just a few:

Planting 11. Trees arrest the spread of salinity across the landscape.

2. Planting trees will help stabilize soil and prevent erosion, both by th eeffect of water and the effect of wind.

3. Planting trees helps restore biodiversity and provides refuge for wildlife.

4. Trees help moderate climate by moderating the effects of sun and wind.

5. Birds and other wildlife make their homes amongst the trees.

6. Leaves absorb carbon dioxide from the air to form carbohydrates that are used in the plants structure and function. In this process leaves also absorb other pollutants - and give off oxygen!

7. By planting trees we return to a more natural, less artificial environment.

8. Natural harmony is restored!
